ABOUT Midori Designs Online
Midori Designs Online LLC was started by Naomi Midori Stafford Young in July 2005. The company took on her middle name which was her maternal grandfather’s first name. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was raised in Japan and then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to receive an education in Information Technology Systems and Graphics Design Specialization. Her paternal grandfather who lived in Hawaii always told her to be her own boss and with the encouragement of her parents and a lot of prayer, Midori Designs Online LLC was formed.
Naomi, also known as Midori, blends into her designs the Japanese culture from her mother, the American blending of cultures from her father and the Hawaiian culture she fell in love with here in the islands.
She works from home applying her time management skills to being a boss, full-time mother to two children, home maker to her family and a Christian.
Favorite pastimes are reading books, journaling and various arts and crafts such as crochet, embroidery, sewing, jewelry making, glass etching, wood etching and stenciling. Activities that have been a part of her life from the time of living in Hawaii are hula, running and recently snorkeling and scuba diving, which she and her husband enjoy together.
